hey guys, Pedro here and I have bad news.

I’ll keep brief but. I’m sorry to announce that “Sherbet” it’s probably canceled. And all art (Ex: Waning) will be put on an indefinite hiatus.

some context. As of Feb 19. My grandpa died. He had been in and out of the hospital for a while and he just died. I was at that hospital for 5 days straight. It was the hardest week of my life. I’m lucky I was there to see him pass. After all of that I’ve not been felling too hot. I’ve been depressed and I find it difficult to hold a pen. I tried to work through it, and managed to squeeze out about 4ish pages afters all said and done. But yeah. I’m just gonna stop for a while. I might still be active on twitter and tumblr but I’m just sad. I could’ve maybe be working this month, but the funeral is soon and I would be working the weeks leading up to it (family stuff yknow) I’m sorry if this got too real. I just wanted to let yall know. I’m sorry sherbet won’t be finished in time for the contest. I was really excited to show it. Oh well that’s just how it goes. I’m

OKAY! BIG NEWS! (I know you’re tired of hearing that) BUTTT I’m gonna put waning and like all other projects on pause until further notice! “But whyyy Yoshi!??” CUZ OF THE NG COMIC CONTEST! I like always will ne linking back to waning! (Expect some new characters!) for this! I hope to just get my name out there thru this! I will be giving it my all for the next months! So please be patient with me I’d uploads take a BIG TANK!! And sorry BUT THIS IS SOOOO COOL! Also the thing for pixel day is drawn so that’s a given! Hope this goes WELL!!!

Hello! It's BYKing and I'm here to speak, (Or i guess write!) so uhh yeah.

GEN THOUGHTS AND REFLECTIONS

2024 has been a crazy year for me. Lots of stuff has happened in my life, both personal and online. For one Waning turned one this year! which was very emotional for me. Im a very sentimental person so seeing how far I've come not only as an artist but as a person was kinda freaky! I've grown up a lot last year and now i'm going to have to start thinking about my futre for my artistic carer. So naturally i get pretty queasy thinking about that. I hope to get an internship at marvel come my graduation. It'd be great for me seeing as i wanna get a job there one day, so hopefully that would allow me to y'know... meet some BIG SHOTS! (Spamtonnnnnnnn :3) But beyond that I have to consider stuff byond that. For one Colage and my online presance as a whole. I think i wanna start taking Comms come 2027, plus start building up my presence beyond Newgrounds, I love this site but I hope to make my name known beyond it though, Like this will always be my home and it will be my main account, but I should prob start using my other accounts... (I.E. Twitter, BlueSky, Tumblr, YT) So ughhhhh yeahhhh. I'm honetly scared for mu futre and i don't know whats gonna happen, but im sure I'll be fine! On a Lighter note...

MY PLANS FOR THE FUTURE OF THIS ACCOUNT AND MY ONLINE PRESENCE

Now Mind you this is semi redundant cuz i went over it a bit above. But I wanna be more specific and focuses here. So about my NG, I've really slacked off these past few months, not to say i've stoped drawing! Chapter:3 of Waining is well into production and the full book is drafted at this point, and I've drawn lots of other things as well... Ive just not been posting it. Why? well I don't know. It was just hard to press post and I don't know why. but I hope to go by my old schedule. A new page of waning every ten days and a new piece of art every six days or so. Now i'm not super consistent Now and Then, but hey! I'll do my best! I just hope my art is up to par with my expectations and Your's... BUT I'm sure that this year will be farrrrrrr more productive that last year!

MY PLANS FOR WANING

Well we're here, the most dreadful part. As ive said: "Chapter:3 of Waining is well into production and the full book is drafted at this point" So yeah, my plans for Waning are simple, I want it to be around Twenty-five, Ten-ish Chapter books. with around like Seventeen Anthologies! I know big plans but if all goes well book one should be finished around early 2026! exciting i know! Plus for the extra Magazines and stuff for world building, I don't know how many their will be my guess is around Seventy-Eight Focusing on music, Sixty-Four on Fashion, Twenty-Three on Culture, and like Fifty on General Gossip lol. I have big plans for Waning and when i start taking comms I'll prob start selling the books online so thats awesome!! :3

this is a sketch of a drawin I’m making! All done sept the crosshatchin I just did sum painting so I can block out the values of the drawing! I recently picked up “Liam Wong’s TO:KY:OO” And the whole book is full of wonderful compositions and use of values so im exspmenting with that! Mind you Zoo’suat is based on the American city of Philly so naturally stuff will look different from Tokyo lol! We’ll be back soon with the finished drawing!
